As you know I am taking part in a 30 day blogging challenge. The challenge is run by the very talented and uber supportive Sarah from Sark e-Media. She has created a wonderful group of business owners and bloggers with a camaraderie that is second to none, spreading the love of blogs and business development. Each of us gently making huge changes in our abilities as bloggers and developing our businesses, doing it in such a way that it is fun, exciting an challenging.
That support, those nudges and the gentle encouragement to make changes and move forward is essential because.
We are creatures of habit.
Creature of habit you? No, not you, never, nope.
But think about,
- Your shopping list, almost identical each week?
- The food you order from your favourite restaurant.
- The journey to work
- The walk with the dog
- The time you go to bed
- Your morning routine
- The books you read
- Your choice in music
That’s your comfort zone comfortable isn’t it?
Sometimes it can be, when you
- walk the dog
- go to the same place on holiday
- take the same route to work
Sometimes that is very comfortable and enjoyable.
But if you get too stuck in your comfort zone it may lead to feelings of being
Can you identify with these and other restricting emotions?
Clients who have felt this way have often struggled with making changes in their life. They know where they are not where they want to be. Anchored in their comfort zone.
Comfort gives the impression of being comfortable, fluffy slippers, curtains drawn, snuggled up on the sofa with a good book.
Is there a need to leave that zone?
Yawn change it to the stagnant zone.
No movement, no excitement and above all no change.
Just a step outside the stagnant zone comes the excitement zone. Now that is the place to be. The excitement zone creates.
Excitement, Fun, Growth, Development and lots lots more
What needs to be done to move from stagnation to excitement?
Simply Something Different
Have a new experience
It doesn’t have to be huge. But it does have to stretch you a little and a bit of fun is always a good thing too.
Todays activity is to.
You hadn’t planned to do, something
Doing something different every day, or 3 or 4 times per week is essential to facilitate empowerment in your life.
If you dip your toe in the water by taking smaller spontaneous steps on a regular basis, making life changes and moving forward from the stagnant zone becomes an easier transition as you make those life changes life lasting.
If you have a support network such as the blogging challenge community I have been embraced by, you really can make huge steps out of that comfortable, stagnant zone into the excitement zone.
Ready to make those changes out of the stagnant zone? Pull up a chair, Let’s have a chat, I am sure I can help.
